TWO shows this week at People's Brewing Company & Taproom! We kick off the week on Tuesday May 19th with The Turkey Buzzards! Then on Sunday May 24th (Day before Memorial Day) it's the return of Punk Vs Metal BBQ! This year the event is open air, all ages, and features Hans Condor, Criminal Record, The Mound Builders, Kiritsis, and DJ Circle T!

TWO shows this week at People's Brewing Company & Taproom! We kick off the week on Tuesday May 19th with The Turkey Buzzards! Then on Sunday May 24th (Day before Memorial Day) it's the return of Punk Vs Metal BBQ! Much like the duo themselves, the songs range near and far. From the sticky humidity of North Carolina to the dusty cellars of the West, The Turkey Buzzards tell simplistic stories that unravel through gritty vocals and thoughtful harmonies.

Swamp Rats takes intricate clawhammer banjo and blends it with a driving punk rhythm fronted by gritty & soothing harmonizing vocals. Some have said the music sounds like a type of haunted that makes them happy. Folk with an edge is what most people say about Florida's "Phantom" folk band Swamp Rats.

In April 2022, The Slackers released a new album, “Don’t Let The Sunlight Fool Ya” (Pirates Press) which quickly shot to the top of the US Billboard charts. The first time that a Slackers’ album has charted! Ironically after 30 years as a band, they qualified as a Billboard ‘new artist!’ The Washington Post noted that the Slackers “remain at the top of their game.”
