準備期間は、常に極限のプレッシャーの中で行われました。止まることなく熱を帯び、撮影本番を迎えると同時に、凄まじいアドレナリンと共にハイスピードで一気にエネルギーが解放されました。
現場には50台以上のカスタマー・カー、劇用車撮影用のカメラカー、FPVドローン、カスタムリギング、さらにはローラーブレードを駆使したメイキング撮影チームが集結し、あらゆる角度からアクションを捉えました。
最高に楽しく、エキサイティングで、一度味わうと病みつきになるような経験をさせていただきました。

Mt. MELVIL was engaged as the production service, working closely with director Suguru Takeuchi and Team Robot. From the start, pre-production felt like a pressure cooker- heating up relentlessly until it finally released during production in a burst of adrenaline at high speed.
The shoot brought together over 50 customer cars, camera cars, FPV drones, custom rigging, and even rollerblade-operated BTS coverage capturing the action from every angle.
It was a fun, exciting, and deeply addictive experience. Special thanks to RAYS and Hakuhodo Kettle for giving us the playground to push creative boundaries.

その一歩を“旅”として再定義しました。
ロサンゼルスとルート66を舞台に、日本の抑制美とアメリカの開放性が交わり、伝統と可能性がつながっていく世界観を構築。
本プロジェクトでは、30秒・15秒のブランドフィルム、ドジャーススタジアムでの放映映像、キービジュアルを一貫して開発。
すべてのタッチポイントを、ひとつの物語として設計しました。

We redefined this step forward as a journey.
Set against Los Angeles and Route 66,
Japanese restraint meets American openness,
shaping a world where tradition connects with possibility.
This project includes the development of 30- and 15-second brand films,
in-stadium visuals for Dodger Stadium, and key visuals—all created under one unified concept.

In collaboration with Nikaido Shuzo Co., Ltd., a company headquartered in Hiji Town, Oita Prefecture and celebrating its 160th anniversary, we have produced a three-part documentary film featuring globally active Japanese soccer player Maya Yoshida.
The project was created primarily for U.S. audiences as Nikaido Shuzo accelerates its expansion into the American market, and has been available on a dedicated website since February 2026.
Under the theme “Discover Shochu, Discover Nikaido,” the three-part series is directed by Los Angeles–based award-winning director Caleb Woods, known for his work on Emmy Award–winning productions such as Mad Men and Boardwalk Empire. Filmed in both Hiji, Oita and Los Angeles, the project brings together a collaborative team from Japan and the United States, resulting in a work that portrays Nikaido Shuzo’s origins and the journey that continues beyond.

For its launch, Mt.MELVIL curated brands and artists who resonated with the project’s vision, and produced a look movie for meanswhile’s 2026 Spring/Summer collection. Meanswhile is a Japan-based fashion brand with a distinct philosophy and worldview, recognized by audiences both in Japan and internationally, including through exhibitions in Paris.
Joined by a next-generation production team and internationally active dancer Macoto, the project explores a new visual expression where the physicality of dance and the philosophy of the brand intersect—marking a creative challenge for the brand as well.
