MultiAdaptor
We are a branding agency on a mission to help businesses become the best version of themselves.
A lot of branding today looks slick. But if it doesn’t move people to act, what’s the point?
MultiAdaptor co-founder and strategy director Andy West believes the most powerful brands are living brands — unifying companies, engaging customers, and empowering teams.

A vibrant brand for @google’s multi-city, annual event for the global developer community.
Developers have long-used laptop stickers to express who they are and what they care about. From mementoes of the places their work has taken them, to their allegiance to their chosen code language. It’s a visual language that speaks to developers’ sense of identity the world over.
The 2025 I/O Connect brand uses this recognisable aesthetic to create a vibrant and energetic world that’s designed to resonate with the hearts and minds of developers. A design system that signals a sense of belonging, for one of Google’s most loyal global communities.
An abundance of ideas was needed to create a convincing representation of this recognisable and visually-rich point of reference. It also had to support wayfinding across sprawling event venues and categorise content for time-pressed visitors
We took a deep dive into the signs, symbols and semiotics of developer culture. Weaving together what we found with 3D iconography from the Google I/O 2025 event branding, we meticulously crafted a laptop-sticker design library that formed the basis of a rich and flexible identity toolkit, full of fun and if you know you know moments of developer delight.
Special thanks to Daniel, Paula, Sarah, and Sean at @googlefordevs. To our friends @studio_yatta for their amazing motion skills, and Wazzo for the event photography.

Today’s most effective brands aren’t just well-designed, they’re alive. Able to flex and connect across the whole business. Built to inspire action from the inside out. At MultiAdaptor, we call them living brands. And we think they’re the future.

20 years of MA
—
2025 marks 20 years since founders Ben and Andy opened the doors at MultiAdaptor. Well, opened their laptops in Andy’s bedroom, in a house they shared with four other design graduate friends in Whitechapel, London. Fast forward 175,000 hours and five or six studios later, and we’re grateful to be as busy as ever. It’s easy to let big milestones slide without taking a minute to reflect on how far the business has come, so we thought we should at least mark the moment with a social post (for now).
As is often the case in agency life, doing great work for our clients has always been the focus, often at the expense of celebrating our own wins. This isn’t a post that’s going to dig into the highs and lows of the last two decades, or take a deep dive into what Ben and Andy have learned from building and sustaining something that, in reality, belongs to all the amazing people who’ve walked through our doors, or joined us on screens and Slack over the years. But we did want to take a moment to shout it out before the year is out, and to say thank you to everyone who’s helped Multi keep moving forward. May there be many more years to come.
Onwards!
New work.
The wait is finally over. We’re super excited to see our new brand for Google I/O Connect launching today in Berlin, with events going live in China and India next.
As Google’s global in-person event for developers, I/O Connect serves one of the brand’s most valued and engaged audiences. For us, it represents the culmination of an epic 6-month partnership that encompassed strategy, identity, marketing toolkit, global guidelines, and event branding. And we couldn’t be prouder of the results.
Huge congratulations to the local teams for bringing the brand to life and pulling-off such an epic event. Special thanks to Daniel, Paula, Sarah, and Sean at Google. And to our friends @studio_yatta for their amazing motion skills.
We’ll have much more to share soon, but meanwhile, follow #ioconnect to see the latest happenings on the ground.

MultiAdaptor promotes Hannah Elford to Managing Director
We’re ending our year on a high note and signing-off for the holidays with the exciting news that longstanding, trail-blazing, high-kicking, ceiling-smasher, and all-round superhuman Hannah Elford, has been promoted to the new position of Managing Director at MultiAdaptor.
Hannah has relentlessly brought boundless energy, ninja skills, and an invaluable perspective to every role that she has had here since she joined from client-side in 2016. From project management, to client services, and business direction. Moving into the role of MD at MA was a natural progression and we couldn’t be happier to have Hannah at the helm.
It’s a big move for our near 20-year-old, founder-led business, so we’re excited to look ahead to 2025, and look forward to seeing how Hannah works with our tight-knit team to help shape the future of MultiAdaptor.
Let’s go!
We’re doing a MultiAdaptor on MultiAdaptor, and we want your views.
As we approach 2025 and our 20th birthday, we’ve decided to review our own brand.
We’re comparing the opinions of people that know us, with people that just know our work. The MultiAdaptor experience versus our public profile.
We’ve gathered responses from clients and prospects past and present, and are now seeking the thoughts of MultiAdaptor friends and family, and our wider network here on Instagram… And beyond, by going public with this process.
We hope to learn something interesting about our industry too — what clients want most from a branding agency today, and tomorrow — and compare the answers we’ve got to our own perception, and our peers.
What do you think design buyers want from their agency partners? Share your perspective and we’ll share what we learn.
Please spare 5 minutes to give us your opinion via the 7 short questions linked in our bio — we’re excited and curious to hear what you think!

A closer look at our new story-driven brand name for Jacquard — part of our end-to-end rebrand for the global technology business that generates personalised, on-brand messaging at unprecedented scale.
The challenge
—
Jacquard began life in 2015 as Phrasee, a pioneer in natural language generation. But the old name felt more like a small startup, didn’t reflect its high performing technology or enterprise focus, and was limited in scope.
The approach
—
We defined two main factors to guide our approach: an immediate feeling and depth of meaning. In other words, a name with a relevant and interesting story, that also just sounds great and conveys the new brand personality.
The process
—
Two key starting points were used to structure initial name generation: the brand idea, ‘Resonate Everywhere’, and what the company does: enterprise tooling to automate brand messaging at massive scale.
Deep research and conceptual thinking drove an expansive explore that resulted in hundreds of invented and real-word names. And a rigorous validation process tested a shortlist of favourites for legal viability and website domain availability.
The outcome
—
The new name represents a story of craft at scale. Inspired by the revolutionary Jacquard loom that automated complex, labour-intensive textile production, and laid the groundwork for the first computers.
It’s a sophisticated, premium, high-tech-sounding name, with a powerful analogy. A relevant and interesting story, that also sounds great and conveys the what, why and how of the brand.

We’re excited to share our top-to-bottom rebrand for AI brand language leader, Jacquard. Featuring a new name, brand strategy, identity, sonic branding, tone of voice, website, and launch.
Today, brands face a marketing challenge beyond human capability. More channels, more campaigns, and more user journeys. And more and more customers that expect more personalised, more relevant, and more contextual messaging.
It’s impossible to meet these needs through conventional means. And that’s precisely why Jacquard exists: to deliver purpose-built enterprise tooling that can generate on-brand messaging at unprecedented scale.
Formerly Phrasee, a pioneer in natural language generation since 2015, Jacquard enables global brands to automate and deliver high-performing, hyper-personalised, and on-brand messaging that connects with people wherever they are.
This proposition is central to the new brand. We distilled what Jacquard does and why it matters into a single-minded strategic idea: Resonate Everywhere. The hero brand property, The Array, embodies this idea in a distinctive, dynamic visual motif that represents the multitude of messages generated from a single origin: Jacquard.
The wider identity is designed to feel high-tech and sophisticated, like a high-end fashion brand. It reflects the quality and power of Jacquard’s technology, and cuts through the sea of software sameness with a brand that radiates with confidence, colour, and vibrant energy.
A huge thank you to the brilliant project team at Jacquard: Marissa, Dan, Alejandro, Toby, Jasper, Peter, Verity, Eiryn, and Mariana. And to our partners at Yatta and Smithfield for the brand films and website build — all found at jacquard.com.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
