The dancers of NDT 2 are back from their tour in Italy, and rehearsals for their upcoming programme resume today!
‘I dreamt, it was’ is a feast for the senses. NDT alumni and new associate choreographers Imre van Opstal and Marne van Opstal are back with a raw and emotional new creation, exploring how spaces impact us. We are also joined by brilliant makers Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar and their hypnotising, vulnerable, and groovy ‘SAABA’ (2021), reworked in a bold, new version for NDT 2.
NDT 2 brings this programme to 12 theatres across the Netherlands from 26 March to 2 June. For more information and all performance dates and locations, see the link in bio.

The dancers of NDT 1 perform 'Figures in Extinction' for the final time this season, today in Dijon, France.
NDT's Associate Choreographer Crystal Pite and Simon McBurney, Artistic Director of Complicité, created this urgent and timely triptych for NDT 1. The award-winning 'Figures in Extinction' reflects the challenges and crises we face, laying bare what we often try to escape, while quietly offering a sense of hope that change remains possible.
'Figures in Extinction [1.0] the list' (2022) confronts us with everything that is disappearing from our planet. '[2.0] but then you come to the humans' (2024) examines our need for connection in a divided world. The third and final part, '[3.0] requiem' (2025), deepens this cross-disciplinary dialogue and reflects on our relationship with loss, mortality and remembrance.

‘Kill Your Darlings‘ reflects on the body’s growing addiction to anticipation in an age of constant stimulation. Movements build, fracture, and repeat, asking what remains when the rush fades, revealing a fragile tension that pushes the dancers‘ emotional and physical artistry while quietly holding up a mirror to us all.
