You finally get them down… and then they’re up again 😴

If your baby is waking every 2 hours, you’re definitely not the only one – but does it have to be this way?

In this week’s Is It Normal...?, parenting expert @parentingwithheidi – a speaker at next month’s @thebabyshowofficial – explains why frequent waking is common, what might be behind it, and why small tweaks can sometimes make a big difference.

Got a question you’ve been wondering about? DM us and we might answer it next 👇

The Baby Show is taking place at Birmingham’s NEC on 8-10 May.

‘Parents know what’s best for their children – not the state’, says Rupert Lowe, MP.

He says families shouldn’t be fined for choosing ‘precious time together.’ Because childhood is short, and family memories shouldn’t come with a penalty notice.

Speaking at the MPs debate in Westminster Hall, which was a result of the petition by the @FightSchoolFines campaign – calling for children to be allowed up to ten days off school per year, without parents facing fines – MP Lowe said fined should be abolished.

He said: ‘Parents are being fined and threatened simply for taking their own children out of school for a handful of days to spend meaningful time together as a family. Is that such an awful crime? I think not.
‘A short term-time family holiday is not an act of neglect. Often, it is the only opportunity many families ever get for such an experience.’

What do you think?

When helping someone out could leave your own family short, the guilt can feel overwhelming.

Sometimes being kind means setting boundaries too – especially when money is tight for everyone right now.

This mum has come forward in the Netmums forum, looking for advice.

Parents have been left horrified after it was revealed that criminals are using AI to turn ordinary photos of children posted by schools into fake abuse material for blackmail.

The warning came after a real case in which school photos posted online were transformed into AI-generated abuse videos and used to threaten a school.

Now experts are urging families to rethink how and where they share children’s images online – warning that even innocent family photos can be misused in ways many parents have never considered.

Do you share photos of your children online – or has this story changed how you feel about it?

Comment the word ‘images’ and we will send you the full story.

Not every sign of emotional overwhelm is loud.

From tummy aches and meltdowns, Netmums’ resident counsellor Emma Page says children often show stress in ways parents don’t immediately recognise.

In a new piece for Netmums, Emma shares the 16 signs of emotional overwhelm in children – and why asking yourself ‘was I too hard on them?’ is usually a sign you care deeply.

Emma says children rarely say ‘this feels like too much’ out loud – instead, their behaviour does the talking.

Comment the word ‘overwhelm’ and we will send you a link to the full expert advice on the small changes that can help children feel calmer, safer and more understood.

At some point, you stop chasing chaos and start protecting your peace.

Not every battle needs your energy. Not every situation deserves your stress. And sometimes the strongest thing you can do is choose the people, places and routines that make life feel lighter instead of heavier.

Do you agree?

Nobody prepares you for how emotional parenting teenagers can feel.

One minute they’re asking you to cut up their grapes and watching cartoons beside you on the sofa… and the next they’re taller than you, making plans with friends and talking about driving lessons.

And somehow, while life gets easier in so many practical ways, it also gets harder emotionally.

Because they still need you… just differently.

As Netmums’ Head of News and Social Media, Joanna Lovell @h5y_jo says, this stage of parenting feels like constantly living between pride and heartbreak – grieving the little people they were while falling in love with who they’re becoming.

If you’re parenting teens right now, do you understand this feeling?

From the ‘terrible twos’ to teenage attitude, the answers were VERY honest.

Which phase would you skip?

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.

Advantages of Anonstories
