National Girls Collaborative
We create, connect and collaborate to transform #STEM for all youth. Creating STEM experiences are as diverse as the world we live in.

STEM is all around us, yet women have been historically excluded from STEM and continue to be underrepresented in most STEM fields in higher education, registered apprenticeship programs, and the workforce.
Now more than ever, we encourage you to take action! National STEM Day is an opportunity to raise awareness and foster change. We all can play a role in shifting discriminatory practices that hinder girls' and women's participation and access to STEM.

Girls and women do not differ in their abilities but have fewer opportunities to explore and develop in STEM than boys and men. Become an ally for girls and women pursuing STEM by fostering collaboration and inclusive environments. When we STEM Together, we create equal opportunities for all. #TakeThePledge #STEMTogether

Get ready to dive into empowering narratives, groundbreaking ideas, and conversations that inspire. STEM practitioners across the country are facing significant challenges, including unstable funding, changing policies affecting STEM programs, staff reductions, and a decreased capacity to serve youth. The 2025 Voices from the Field Program Survey conducted by NGCP has highlighted an increasing need for connection, resources, and strategic support within the field.
We invite you to join us on May 28 at 12 PM Pacific / 3 PM Eastern for a virtual gathering. This event will provide valuable insights on policy developments, emerging funding opportunities, and strategies to help STEM programs adapt and expand access and opportunities for youth.

For this Mother's Day, we are sharing something a little different.
Sara Kobilka, meteorologist, educator, entrepreneur, actor, fitness instructor, mother, and more, wrote a reflection for NGCP on what it means to raise girls who do not have to choose between who they are and who they want to become.
Her message is simple and worth sitting with: girls do not have to pick just one thing. And the adults in their lives showing up as their full, complex selves is one of the most powerful ways to make that real.
Read her full piece at the link in bio. And happy Mother's Day to all the Renaissance Women out there.

A four-year college degree is one pathway into STEM. It is not the only option.
Registered apprenticeships provide paid, hands-on training and a direct path to careers in advanced manufacturing, information technology, energy, and the skilled trades. Yet women make up just 14 percent of registered apprentices.
This gap means fewer girls and young women are connected to career pathways that offer real experience, income, and growth, while industries continue to face talent shortages. Expanding awareness, strengthening recruitment, and providing the right support can help more young people see apprenticeships as a clear and accessible path into STEM careers.
Check out the 2026 State of Girls and Women in STEM report for more details!

Women now earn 50% of bachelor's degrees in science and engineering.
Inside specific fields, the picture is different:
26% in engineering
24% in physics
23% in computer and information science
Reaching parity overall is a milestone. The work ahead is reaching it across every discipline so that the next generation of engineers, physicists, and computer scientists looks like the world we live in.

If you teach in a classroom, run an afterschool program, lead a STEM club, or work in any out-of-school learning space, we want to hear from you!
The National Girls Collaborative Project, in collaboration with Ingenia Learning, STEM Next, and the AMD Foundation, is launching a national survey on AI literacy in K-12 education. Your participation will help shape the development of resources, training, and support for educators who teach with and about AI.
The survey takes about 10 minutes. Your voice will directly inform the future of AI learning across formal, informal, and afterschool time settings.

Last week, we had a fantastic time at the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) National Conference in Anaheim! A huge thank you to NSTA for hosting such an inspiring event. We were honored to have our own Dr. Amanda Sullivan join the stage as a Featured Speaker. During her session, titled Breaking Stereotypes through Playful Science Learning, Dr. Sullivan shared insights on how intentional, play-based STEM learning can disrupt early gender stereotypes and positively shape children’s scientific identities. Drawing on research from her books, Breaking the STEM Stereotype and Playful STEAM Learning in the Early Years, she highlighted why early childhood is such a critical window for building curiosity and science self-efficacy.
It was wonderful connecting with so many educators dedicated to making STEM inclusive and joyful from day one! #NSTASpring26 #NSTA #Ana26 #NSTAAnaheim

In Louisiana, keeping STEM programs connected across an expansive state is no small task. The Louisiana STEM Collaborative Project took on that challenge with something straightforward: show up consistently, every single month.
Through a monthly newsletter produced in partnership with NGCP, the Collaborative delivers grant opportunities, hands-on activities, and resources directly to educators and program leaders across the state. For programs in rural areas, it is sometimes the clearest window they have into what is available to them.
Not flashy, but consistent. And consistency, it turns out, is what a statewide network actually needs to hold together.
One partner put it this way: "I appreciate all you do across Louisiana."
This is Collaborative Appreciation Week. Read the full story of how NGCP Collaboratives are advancing girls in STEM, one connection at a time.

This week we are celebrating the 33 NGCP Collaboratives that connect local girl-serving STEM programs across 41 states.
Each Collaborative reflects the needs of its region, bringing together educators, researchers, nonprofits, and industry partners to help more girls access STEM. Together, this network connects more than 42,500 organizations and has reached over 30 million youth nationwide.

What does the future of STEM sound like?
It sounds like young women speaking with clarity, urgency, and vision about the world they want to build.
During NGCP’s Youth Voices webinar, members of our Youth Advisory Board shared how STEM can address environmental challenges, strengthen communities, and support long-term sustainability.
This Youth Voice Week, we are amplifying their perspectives because youth voice is not the future of the conversation. It is part of it now.
*You can watch the webinar recording on our YouTube channel.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
