For all the international agencies, clients, and people watching from around the world, I want to say something very clearly. India has a serious problem with sexual exploitation in the name of modeling and entertainment. Young boys and girls are often groomed at very vulnerable ages, manipulated into systems they do not fully understand, and pushed into environments that can deeply affect their mental health, identity, confidence, and future.

I have helped create international stars, yet in my own country I continue to face resistance because speaking against exploitation makes people uncomfortable. But staying silent while young lives are being damaged is not an option for me anymore. I have watched too many talented young boys lose their sense of self, their peace, and their direction while toxic behavior gets normalized and rewarded online. Many become public figures influencing millions while carrying unresolved trauma, confusion, anger, and hatred that continues spreading into society.

We are living in a time where many young people are struggling to understand themselves, their identity, and their place in the world. Industries that shape beauty standards, sexuality, behavior, culture, and social influence carry enormous responsibility. Powerful industries cannot continue ignoring the impact they have on children and teenagers. We must come forward together to protect young people, create safer systems, and make sure no child is exploited emotionally, sexually, psychologically, or financially in the pursuit of fame and validation.

If you have followed NINJAS Models, you may have seen us posting strong, controversial, and sometimes uncomfortable content recently. There is a reason for that. Watching what has happened globally with the Epstein files made me realize how dangerous silence can become when powerful systems protect abuse for too long. I will not allow that kind of culture to grow unchecked around me or inside the Indian modeling industry.

Children deserve safety. Models deserve dignity. Talent should never come at the cost of exploitation.

A story of rise and resilience, Bhoomika Yadav, a 19 year old girl from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, was simply taking a walk on Marine Drive when she was spotted and scouted. The moment Ninja Singh, founder of NINJAS Models, saw her, she said, “Oh my God, you are so gorgeous.” That one moment changed everything. From being discovered on the streets of Raipur, Bhoomika went on to walk for Chanel in 2025, becoming the youngest Indian female model to debut for the brand. Yet, she did not receive the coverage she truly deserved, because we still live in a country where racism is deeply prevalent. Mainstream media continues to overlook dusky and dark skinned girls, even though the majority of our population is wheatish and dark brown. And when representation does happen, it often feels like tokenism, as if we are an aesthetic and not real people. Bhoomika Yadav has grown up hearing the word “kaali” repeatedly, a painful reality for many women who are shamed every single day for their appearance, even though age, skin tone, or any such factor should never be a criterion. Through her success, she wants to say that we exist. She wants to change the narrative of Indian models and dreams of building her own beauty brand where people can truly appreciate the color they are born with instead of turning to surgeries and living a life of quiet sadness. Bhoomika believes that if she wins, all of us win. She calls on Indian media to tell more stories of joy, growth, and victory so that together we can build a better and more inclusive society. As part of Gen Z, she represents a generation that seeks resolution through action and happiness, a generation that is tired of constant conflict and negativity and simply wants the space to live, grow, and be happy.
