You had your AC on power ranger today, one of the hottest May days in New Jersey history. 🥵 We hadn’t hit 99° in May since ‘96. Can’t wait for the day a few weeks from now when our power bills arrive. 😒

Gov. Mikie Sherrill announced that the New Jersey State Police will increase patrol visibility around houses of worship statewide following a shooting at a mosque in San Diego on May 18.

The patrols will continue coordinating with law enforcement and faith-based partners.

In a post on X Monday night, Sherrill said she was "devastated by the shooting" and that "no one should feel unsafe in their house of worship," expressing condolences to the victims and families affected.

The calendar says it’s May 18, but it’s feeling more like July 18. New Jersey temperatures are expected to soar to the mid 90s today as heat advisories are now active in 18 of the state’s 21 counties. Humidity levels are expected to rise into uncomfortably sticky territory but this heat wave is expected to be broken by rain showers and isolated thunderstorms on Wednesday, forecasters say. Are you liking or hating this heat?

Paul Caneiro was sentenced to life in prison Tuesday for murdering his own brother, sister-in-law, and their two young children after emotional testimony from surviving family about the damage Caneiro left behind.

At his February trial prosecutors said it was a cold-blooded plot to cash in on his brother, Keith’s, $3 million life insurance policy and hide Paul’s other financial crimes. Caneiro also set fire to his brother’s mansion and his own house, with his own family inside, as part of a coverup. Now one of New Jersey’s most notorious murder cases, it took seven years to go to trial.

One baby was all it took to shake up New Jersey’s baby name rankings. 👶

After just a year on top, Mia has been bumped from the No. 1 spot in the Garden State, according to new Social Security Administration data for 2025.

On the boys’ side, one familiar favorite continued its decade-long dominance, while a popular girls’ name may have quietly won overall once alternate spellings are combined.

Almost 200 cases reported to NJ.com and getting more daily. Concerned Keyport, N.J. residents packed the local high school gym Sunday night for a community meeting on the alarming number of cancer cases reported near a former landfill. They demanded Department of Environmental Protection representatives to tell them if generations of people in the borough became sick from chemicals found at the site that were never properly cleaned up. Doctors say much more testing is needed to prove that possible connection.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
