A surfer who was attacked by two great white sharks used a zig-zag paddle to get to safety — with just one hand. At least 18 people were killed as torrential rain and widespread flooding continued across southern and central China on May 19. Authorities said 150 million yuan ($22 million) had been allocated for disaster relief, while emergency response measures were activated across several regions. Texas police have released the mugshot of one of the three juveniles arrested over the weekend in connection with 12 separate shooting incidents across Austin that injured four people, as well as a timeline of the alleged 28-hour rampage.
