Recent MSGA graduate Damon Hamman was one of four African climate youth leaders to participate in the UN's 2026 Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum in New York City.

Damon served as the moderator of a panel where he interviewed fellow climate activists about empowering African youth to drive climate solutions.

Originally from South Africa, Damon's graduate studies focus on how conflict analysis, intelligence, and emerging analytical tools can help policymakers better understand insecurity across complex regional environments.

Damon hopes to continue applying rigorous research, geospatial analysis, and policy-oriented methods to support institutions working on conflict prevention, counterterrorism, and security.

🏙️ To close out the semester, Master’s students in Dr. Altier’s Transnational Terrorism course took a tour of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. It was a somber but fitting way to cap off the semester, thinking about how terrorism has evolved since those attacks and the significant impact that those attacks had not only on New York City, but on US foreign policy and domestic counterterrorism policy.

🙏 A big thank you to the NYU Office of the Provost Student Activities Grant, which made this visit possible.

🎓✨ Last week’s CGA Showcase was the perfect kickoff to this week's Graduation activities! We gathered to celebrate our MSGA and MSGSCC graduates and to honor a true visionary: our founder, former Divisional Dean Vera Jelinek.

The evening featured a faculty panel on the "Lessons of History," which asked: Can we learn from history, or are "lessons learned" merely lessons waiting to be forgotten?

The stars of the night, however, were our students. From Consulting Practicums to thesis and capstone research, the poster session showed that the next generation of global leaders is ready to turn theory into action.

To the Class of 2026: You’ve done the work. Now, it’s time to celebrate. See you at Graduation and Convocation! 🥂 🎓

🚀 Recap: Artificial General Intelligence and the Power Requirements of Next Generation AI

We just wrapped up an insightful morning at the NYU School of Professional Studies, where industry leaders, grid operators, and NYU-associated specialists gathered to discuss Artificial General Intelligence and energy infrastructure.

The transition toward AGI brings immense computational demands. To sustain these next-generation AI workloads, we face an unprecedented capacity crunch and must rethink our approach to 24/7 data services.

Event Highlights
Led by Amy Jaffe, Director of the Global Energy, Climate and Sustainability Lab.

Opening Remarks: Joshua Pang (Apollo) and Smita Samanta (Founder, Artificial Minds) outlined the computational requirements driving the future of AI.

Global Grid Insights: Ben Hertz-Shargel (Wood Mackenzie Consultants) explored the power demands of next-generation infrastructure.

Solution Innovation Panel: Apoorv Bhargava(Weavegrid) and Swasti Jain (Emerald AI) discussed collaborative solutions to grid capacity and data services.

Infrastructure & Policy Panel: Kevin Lanahan (NY-ISO) and Karsten Bardeaddressed the collaboration needed between data centers and power providers.

Thank you to all our expert panelists and attendees for an engaging, forward-looking discussion!

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
