A new project 🕶️

This time I dove deeper into animation and rigging in Houdini. I almost forgot how fun it is to simply animate.
The entire process was done in almost exclusively in @sidefxhoudini (modeled the case in blender, downloaded the sunglasses from CGtrader). Rendering was done in Karma. I’ll release a BTS soon 😎

New project 🎾💦

I love experimenting with the laws of physics. CGI allows me to break the rules of reality and achieve the vision I have in mind with extreme precision. As I dive deeper into @sidefxhoudini , I’m able to express my ideas in a more accurate way.

For this piece, I used the new MPM solver for the first time. The main challenge was transforming the ball into liquid while maintaining its furry material qualities. Instancing hair on deforming geometry was tricky, but eventually, I was able to hack my way through it.
Also, this was my first time rendering in #karmarender . I liked it a lot! I’ll probably be sticking with it for my next projects.

Greyhound

Trying to open up more to AI workflows and develop new techniques. For this one, I started by generating a 3D model of a greyhound dog using @meshy.ai , then brought it into @blender.official for rigging. Later, I imported a scanned environment, posed the dog, and experimented with the lighting.

For me, a 3D workflow is the most efficient way to achieve the cinematic/artistic vision I have in mind. I rendered a single image and did some light post-processing, then brought it into @klingai_official to generate the movement. Final video post-processing was done in #aftereffect .

For a while now, I’ve wanted to design a custom silhouette and create a full CG commercial for it. It’s going to be a long process, but the design and modeling phase is more or less done.
