Happy 93rd Birthday to a towering figure in music and the patron saint of Austin City Limits: Willie Nelson. Writer of such classics as "Hello Walls," "Crazy" and "On The Road Again," Willie has transcended the country genre to become one of America's greatest musicians. He headlined our 1974 pilot episode as well as our 50th anniversary show, and he has appeared on ACL more than any other performer. Today we celebrate Willie’s 93rd birthday with a shoutout from the ACL stage recorded earlier in the week at a Season 52 taping.

No artist personifies ACL’s eclectic, freewheeling spirit more fully than the man with the braids, the bandana and the guitar named Trigger. Watch Willie's full pilot episode on @PBS in celebration at the link in bio.
