This season marks 100 years since Private Jack White, war hero, Victoria Cross recipient, and master craftsman, completed his apprenticeship in our Manchester factory.

To honour that legacy, we present The Heroes: five iconic coats, built with military precision, purpose, and pride. Each one a reflection of Jack’s enduring standards and a testament to 100 years of discipline, duty and determination.

We go back to the original garments, study them properly, understand the cloth, the construction, the purpose and then work painstakingly to bring them back to life, retaining everything that made the originals great while improving them for modern wear.

Provenance matters. British fabrics matter. These military stories matter.

An original pick stitch machine, dating back well over a century, and still running in our Manchester factory today. Built in an era when tailoring was measured not by speed but by precision, longevity and pride in the finish. The subtle stitch it creates remains one of the great signatures of proper coat making - a detail once associated with military tailoring, Savile Row craftsmanship and the golden age of British manufacturing.
