After clearing through acres of woodland in the last month, felling any trees that were sick or over crowded (around 200), the wood has now been sorted into cord wood for burning, brash for turning into wood chip and log piles like these to provide habitats for all sorts of creatures.
A bit more planning to go but by January we'll be repopulating this woodland with a diverse range of tree species, installing some specimens that will outlive all of us.
