Today we say goodbye 2025🦋What a wild year it was!
Let’s start with the good💜
1. We launched our first ever troops in Alameda & El Sereno, California.
2. We had two Radical Caterpillar meetups for families and kids ages 1-8 and created space for Littles to learn and take action in support of Palestine & families impacted by deportation.
3. We launched our Co-Founders Live series on IG where Anayvette & Marilyn shared what’s good w the Radical Monarchs to all our supporters
But real talk,we barely made it through 2025 as an organization. We lost more than half our staff and our funding. Donors dropped out. Anti-DEI campaigns led to grants being defunded and people backing away from supporting anything for Black & Brown young people
In the face of it all, we remembered that we still had a national organization to lead & steward and an unwavering commitment to our Monarchs political, emotional and spiritual development.
Wherever we could, Radical Monarchs was rooted in joy and honored our steadfast belief in liberation for all.
Nevertheless the heartache & grief has been palpable and it’s rocked us to our core. Our future depends on community. Please share our work widely, mention our name in rooms we aren’t in, and remember monthly donors are the real MVP’s no matter the amount.
Help us sustain this work for a more radical future!
