Although BC Book Day is over, theres no reason to stop celebrating the beautiful local faces, voices, and stories that shape our province.

It’s Creative Industries Week and this Saturday, April 25 is Canadian Independent bookstore day #CIBD @indiebookstoresca Keep the celebration going by:

🎤 Attending a local author reading
📚 Buying a BC published book
🏡 Shopping at an indie bookstore
📖 Borrowing a BC book from the library
❣️ Supporting locals arts and artists

Yesterday was the 12th annual #BCBookDay 📖❣️

The goal of BC Book Day is to celebrate BC’s literary community and to raise awareness among government and the public of BC’s publishing ecosystem and its cultural and economic contributions.

The event itself took place at the parliament building in Victoria and included independent BC publishers, guest authors, @magsbc and of course, the legislative assembly @bclegislature

To commemorate creative industries week, let’s work together to keep our local arts thriving! #ReadLocalBC 📖
