This week marks a significant moment in our journey and a historic first for R/GA.

We are proud to share that we’ve officially acquired the AI system design and development studio Addition. Founded by Paul Aaron and Rick Barber, and built from the ground up as an AI-native company, Addition have created innovative AI solutions for many of the world’s leading brands, including Google, Unilever and Amazon.

Bringing their expertise and talent into R/GA means we’ll have even greater access to leading AI-enabled processes, blueprints, and services - accelerating our ability to deliver personalized, adaptive and effective creative experiences for clients.

Since becoming independent, we’ve been rapidly writing R/GA’s new story - setting out our ambition to be the leading creative innovation company for the Intelligence Age. And this strategic move, powered by our new Innovation Fund, represents a significant investment in the new kinds of talent and AI-enabled capabilities we believe will shape the future.

We are delighted to welcome the brilliant Addition team into the R/GA family, as our first ever acquisition.

R/GA and Google debuted an experimental film using Google’s generative video model, Veo, featuring luxury brand Moncler. From the Mountains to the City marks a leap in generative AI—showing Veo as a true creative partner.

Completed in ~four weeks, the team used thousands of generations to ensure product consistency in complex cinematic environments.

The tech has come a long way. Is the film perfect? No. Is it impressive? Absolutely.

Unburdened by the traditional holding company model. Unleashed to achieve ambitious new goals and to explore the unlimited creative possibilities of what this new intelligence age will bring.

Who we are isn’t changing. We will always be a creative innovation company that is focused on making more valuable experiences for people. But how we do it, and the experiences we create, will change.

Last year, our long-time partners at Google came to us with an important challenge: How do you drive brand attribution for Google’s most innovative feature of the year, when it will be launched as a native feature in marketing Google doesn’t own?

Circle to Search is an AI-enabled innovation that allows people to search anything on their phone with a simple gesture. There was one problem, the feature was designed to blend in. Meaning there was no way Google would get the credit, when promoted in partners global marketing materials or product demos.

The solution? Bring the brand into the interaction itself. So, every Ad becomes an Ad for Google.

With Google, we leveraged the brand’s most recognizable global equity (the four colors) and then connected engineering and marketing together as one branded gesture. Ensuring no matter the partner who was leveraging the new feature, Google would always get the attribution through the subtle use of their most iconic colors.

All the credit, in every environment.
