Still buzzing after my solo exhibition opening in LA. Thanks to everyone who came out. In today’s digital world, it’s super special to have printed work up on a wall.

It began with a question that doesn’t have a clean answer. Only layers, textures, and time. On the first night, we stepped into it anyway: speaking about process, about material, and the quiet, persistent force that pulls an idea into form.

Drawn from many sources—some visible, others harder to name—the work became a site of experimentation. Pushing, resisting, reworking what photography and material could be, until something new began to emerge. Not just images, but a language of surface, memory, and transformation. An evolving arm of the practice that didn’t exist before this.

This interview holds fragments of the unseen hours, the textures chosen with intention, the thoughts that live between each mark. What is shown is only ever part of it. The rest exists in feeling, in memory, in the spaces between words.

In Memory of Water. As if water could ever truly forget. It lingers, it carries, it reshapes; it remembers in ways we can’t always name. Maybe that’s what this work has been trying to do all along: hold onto something fluid, something fleeting, and let it move through us anyway.

Thank you for witnessing it, for listening, for stepping into this world with me.

The work continues, just in different forms, in different rooms, in all of us.

Opening something new feels… big.

During Frieze week, I’m introducing Interval with its first exhibition —
In Memory of Water by Daniel Han.

This isn’t a traditional gallery launch.
No spectacle. No noise. Just the work, the space, and the conversations around it.

Daniel’s practice feels transportive — the materials shift with light and proximity, and the images don’t sit still. You have to slow down with them.

Hosted with Christina, this is our first step into building something that lives in the space between disciplines — between image and object, between artist and audience.

Was so lucky to work with this icon, one of my hero’s, the great Catherine O’Hara. So sad she’s gone. She was the most wonderful, warmest, kind, hilarious human being and the most talented and brilliant actress. What a loss. Rest in peace, Catherine. ♥️
