For @londoncraftweek today at Ebury Street - Restoration and the Art of Making Good. Here an antique textile from the Kime archive is being repaired and restored. Join us. It feels meditative to watch.

“The Education of Mr Atty “from @the.current.mag. A story of Robert, Orlando and Claire. Seeking meaning. Discovery. And mentorship. One of the many wonderful images taken for the story - here Orlando and Bailey in the document fabric archive at Kime HQ in Marlborough.
.
Big leaps. Small steps. Lessons of interest and nuance, objects and placement. A story for all. The Current V6.
Thank you @urbanelectricco.

The longer days are here. Looking back to a project in the Bahamas. Painted furniture (and tropical blooms), a daybed with a view, upholstered in • Albi • a weave based on an original Provençal bourette, a rattan porch hideaway draped in voile as a place to get out from the sun and an antique metal bed, tucked to the corner made interesting by antique hangings. This project was a “day house” for a main house that was near; a place to retreat to and spend the daytime hours. We return to it for its achievement in spirit and usefulness.

• Opium Poppy Bright • at the windows, described as a dramatic translation of a large scale print Robert found at a French fair. Is it the size of the blooms, the colouring or the detail that works so well in this Robert Kime London project? Mixed too with a soft pink Ikat valance.

Sharing the story behind -
• Lilac LampBastian Linen •
A hand-screened design on heavy Bastian Linen. Based in an original woodblock print that was often found throughout the Ottoman Empire; a note of the season to come in its detail. 🌿

A large 19th C picture of the Avon Gorge hung in the library at Robert’s La Gonette, centred on the room, not over the furniture. The • Gonette • sofa with a very softly gathered valance, reliably strewn with cushions made from 19th C French textiles. A Moroccan textile covers the ottoman. This expression? This is Kime.

Candlelight during daylight. And a George III sofa with faux bamboo mahogany legs currently at Ebury Street. Upholstering this antique with an antique textile seemed interesting. And its flat back has it sitting neatly against a wall; here opposite a fireplace, decorated with Delft tiles.

The making of a bed. At the start, just the antique posts; restorers and craftsmen began their work. They bring detail, attention and a heritage sensibility to the project, creating this four poster, now at Ebury Street. We call it a Kimeness. Something that is uniquely - Kime. And our own approach and craft.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
