New Orleans police have identified potential misconduct involving another officer’s timekeeping practices as new payroll policies take effect following Fox 8’s Unchecked Overtime investigation.
The NOPD confirmed officer Christopher Kalka is under internal investigation. The department said he was identified through “additional monitoring measures, including spot checks and payroll audits.”
Fox 8’s months-long investigation has captured multiple high-paid NOPD officers at home while timesheets showed they were on the clock. Those officers now face internal investigations, including one who has been charged with 10 felony counts linked to Fox 8’s findings.
Kalka was introduced to media in August 2024 as part of the NOPD’s 203rd recruit class. He said at the time that he had previously worked for the NOPD for 17 years before retiring in 2015 and later working in Chicago.
In April 2025, Kalka graduated from the recruit class and became a police officer with a base salary of $55,791. Payroll records show that with only a little more than eight months as a sworn officer, Kalka was paid more than $156,000, nearly triple his base salary.

Our undercover camera captured two more high-paid NOPD officers at home while their timesheets showed they were on the clock. Now both are facing internal investigations.
Records show both made more than $200,000 last year.
Sgt. Bianca Boone nearly tripled her $83,000 salary, bringing home more than $239,000. Her timesheets show she logged more than 4200-hours. That's like working more than 11.5 hours a day every day of the year.
Sgt. Rene Benjamin collected $211,000 last year. His timesheets show he worked 363-days last year and only took two days off.
In March our undercover camera captured multiple instances when both were clocked in but were still at home.
On Sunday March 8th, our video shows Boone leaving her home more than three-hours after she was clocked in.
On March 11th, Benjamin left his west bank home 14-minutes after he was clocked in and returned home that afternoon nearly 45-minutes before he was clocked out.
Both are now under investigation linked to our findings.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
