The #rundisney world lost its North Star as Olympian and RunDisney ambassador @jeffgallowayolympian passed away today. I’m truly sad to learn of his passing as he was a beacon of light at every race I’ve ever run at Disney since 2017. I got to meet him twice and chat briefly about our love running, and most of all, having fun while doing it.

He’s best known for pioneering the run-walk-run method that has seen countless people (myself included) cross the finish line of marathon races they never thought they could before. He encouraged everyone to run and always keep the joy in it above all.

Up until his final years he always ran at least a half marathon at Disney, and it was such a treat knowing I was sharing a race with an Olympic legend. Rest easy now Jeff, I’ll be running my miles this year in your honor. 😥🏃‍♂️✨
