Good morning to all of you. As always @themasters never disappoints and congrats to my friend @rorymcilroy on his back to back win. Gutted for my brother @justinprose99 but he will have the Green Jacket in the next couple of years. This was my 19 th Masters and it triggers so many emotions for me. From being a dreamer as a young coach to first time with @stephenamespga, the joy was indescribable as I walked this most beautiful golf course. When you operate at the top levels of anything heartbreak is a guarantee. All the seconds and thirds sting and scar but that is the price we pay for love. This year I was with Michael Kim who I have worked with for 4 years. We didn’t get it done but we have come so far as a team from Korn Ferry to the majors and I am so proud of MK’s resilience, courage and loyalty to the message. To round it out thank you to my partner @poloralphlauren for all of the fly outfits. How you do anything is how you do every thing and to be an ambassador for an iconic brand like Ralph Lauren has been a bucket list relationship for me. I am more in love with my career than I have ever been, and that is after all the failure and heart break. Remember we are not observing our lives we are narrating it. It took me 30 years coaching to understand the true purpose of my job and to see the ups and downs as blessings being lessons you should learn from has me excited to go another 30. Good morning to all of you. @davidwoodspga and I @prosendrgolf have seen a huge uptick in interest from the world’s best players. The incredible @joaco_niemann is using the WIDENER. It is so good to see Joaco back in action with long time coach @edomiquel_coach. These two have created a remarkable record together and Edo has coached Joaco since childhood. We are slowly but surely(that might be the only way😉) improving our skills. From tee-to-green to around the green the blueprint is in place. From junior golf until now if Nick had a weakness it has been chipping and pitching. I know that short game discussions of late have been about spin, low smash factors etc. So many times around the green it calls for a STOCK SHOT. Using the @prosendr WIDENER, Nick has been able to change his understanding of what is the most simple and consistent technique forbhi@. This product is starting to really turn heads out on the major tours. Nick told me that when he takes it off the feel is still there which is what learning is all about. On Sunday was a super sweet feeling to see my Golf daughter @amari_avery get her first professional win. I have coached Amari for 8 years and this most gifted young woman is as lovely as she is talented. This win was proof that when a player puts themselves first and and takes a deep look at what it means to be a professional anything is possible. A truly great day for the Avery family as well who have supported Amari and Alona unconditionally since they were young kids. Amari and I have worked on the same blue print since she was 15. Amari has been using the @prosendrgolf WIDENER since my partner @davidwoodspga and I came out with it. Amari living in California and me in Florida can add challenges to coaching as feels can change. This product has been perfect for her because it keeps the structure and the movement the same everyday. Good afternoon to all of you. In the video is the and only @haotong66 demoing the @prosendrgolf WIDENER. As you can see the contact, trajectory and thus spin is created by a very Vanilla pattern. Nothing fancy here just managing the radius, minimal changes in wrist conditions and a technique that is capable for all golfers. Will any of us drive it like Rory? Probably not. Will we be able to hit long irons to the moon like Scheffler? We won’t. But golf is a game of many skills that all end up being important in the score. Good morning to all of you. My girl @leonamaguire has been working hard with @prosendrgolf WIDENER, and in doing so has improved her speed and apex of the shot. These are two of the goals we had when we started working together in November. As is often the case when players are trying to grow in their games we have good days on the course and some not so good days. I was humbled many years ago by the quote “That you need to treat failure and success like the imposters they both are.” It took me sometime to understand this quote and right or wrong this is what I took from it. Failure is an imposter if you treat it that way. Failure is actually feedback and gives us a good idea of where we are on the journey. It points out that we still have misunderstandings, and is a natural process of every attempt to grow. So from the right lens failure gives us feedback and helps us grow. Success can be an imposter as well because it is a destination and a socially defined metric and may take away from the love of the process and the journey we are all on. If success is everything than why are so many successful people miserable?? One of my favorite quotes by Winston Churchill is, “SUCCESS IS NOT FINAL, AND FAILURE IS NOT FATAL. SUCCESS IS STUMBLING FROM FAILURE TO FAILURE WITH NO LOSS OF ENTHUSIASM.” Remember lessons are blessings we should learn from. It’s not about good and bad, they will be both be present. Good afternoon to all of you. One of my favorite parts about being on tour for two decades is to listen to what so many players think is important in their game or swing. At the Phoenix Open at one half of the dynamic twin duo @nicolaihoejgaard was gracious enough to test the new @prosendrgolf WIDENER. This device could have been designed by basically watching the radius/width of Nico and how Ulnar he remains with his wrist angles. Over the last 3 decades as I have grown and golf instruction as a whole is more regulated and measured, so many of the young players today have very stiff wrist angles(much less wrist set) than was being taught in the past As well players turn much more like the greats of the ages Hogan, Nicklaus, Snead and Wrigjt etc. There was a time when hip turn becomes a Cardinal sin. The fact is that the body does what a player can functionally do. No one’s hips have the same amount of internal/external rotation - and the same can be true about the shoulders. Some players move laterally more than others, rotate more than others and some jump more than other. Some players have weak, neutral and strong grips which most often is built around their anatomy. That is where style and dynamics don’t mesh. So two players who look very different(style) are dynamically doing the same things, and that is why their ball flight and speed are the same. So the top ball strikers are maintaining their radius and using a stretch phase, counter-rotation phase and the ensuing extension phase. Whether chicken is fried, baked, blackened or grilled it’s still chicken. Nico said he liked how the WIDENER felt on the follow through to help him extendhis arms and keep his pivot moving to give him a feel of covering it. Peace and love to all of you.
