Save the date for this gathering—we would be thrilled to see you!

Something we’ve been building quietly. Core is an art association based in Athens, informed by the Kunstverein tradition and developed as a flexible framework for research, exhibitions, and public exchange. It will take shape through sustained engagement with its context, emphasizing dialogue, collaboration and attentiveness to the conditions of artistic practice. Situated within Athens’ active and diverse network of independent initiatives, Core will work alongside existing practices, contributing through long-term inquiry and carefully articulated curatorial questions. The fact that something is complete is often not obvious at first glance. In artistic practice, you have to move away from things and move closer again - the constant movement supports reflection. Works mature in the flow of perception until a state of balance is achieved. However, the exhibition is not about balance, nor is it about the unfinished. The snapshot of creative work in flux brings together diverse starting points, from which new paths are opened up and perspectives are given.

Having (and Being) - Opening tomorrow, Saturday February 24, 12-6 pm at @callirrhoe_ in Athens with works by #BirkeGorm, #JojoGronostay, #DemianKern, #MariliaKolibiri, #KaterinaKomianou, #IrinaLotarevich, #LazarLyutakov, #RondiPark, #KerstinvonGabain and #MinYoon; curated by #SeverinDünser
We are not just surrounded by things; we also surround ourselves with them. And they tell more than we might assume. The relationship we develop with things reflects who we are. What we have is not only what we need but also a reflection of how we want others to perceive us. Hence, having and being are aspects that influence each other, making the human essence tangible. The exhibition attempts to describe our multifaceted being through materializations of desires. Sculptures, readymades, photographs and paintings bring us closer to ourselves, but also to the things we live with.

Social ties are established while drinking, people communicate and interact. The choice of drinks thereby also defines the relation of the participants among each other, while the rituals connected to them force the structure of the way of being together. The artists of this two hour long exhibition conceived and appropriated a variety of drinks, respectively formulated instructions on how to use them. What normally accompanies the communication, becomes the subject matter in this participative exhibition. In the tradition of relational aesthetics it transforms a conversation piece into a social sculpture – and the other way around.

Doing Things Together: Curator Severin Dünser on participatory projects and the Viennese art scene
Thursday, May 11th from 4 to 5 pm
Art Sonje Center, Seoul
@artsonje_center
Since the early 2000s, Severin Dünser curated more than 80 exhibitions. Living in Vienna for more than 20 years and spending lots of quality time with the local art crowd led to many projects. Some of those were group exhibitions featuring the protagonists of the Viennese art scene. The lecture will include some of these shows to give an impression of the city’s multifaceted art practices. Furthermore, Severin Dünser will present some of his participatory projects that transformed conversation pieces into social sculptures (and the other way around).
The lecture is followed by "Wetting Your Whistles", a tasting of various drinks, conceived and appropriated by young Korean artists.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
