In case anyone was under the impression that I do this by myself, let me shoutout my (and Rhys’) village!
I may be a single parent by definition, but I have never felt like one because Rhys and I have been surrounded by love and family every step of the way. This year, especially, has shown me that I can call and lean on them for support as we navigate new stages of development and that Rhys can look to them also, independent of me. It takes a whole village, y’all, and I’m BLESSED to have mine! 💛

I wasn’t exactly thrilled to be waking up at 7:30am on a Daylight Savings Sunday to head downtown for hot yoga. But since 2024, and that hormonal weight gain that came out of nowhere, and that disrespectful A1C that was teetering precariously close to diabetic, I’ve made a commitment to show up for myself even when I’d rather be resting. And 50lbs later (swipe for Before pics), I’d say that consistency and grace are two of the best things we can gift ourselves. That, and monthly massages! 😄
