Moi mai rā to my dear Dad, true to character leaving us after a short illness peacefully without a fuss. My Dad and I were sadly not able to be together when I was young much though he always reminded me when I was born I could fit in the palm of his hand - so I feel quite complex grief losing him today at what I lost as a kid - however I also feel so much love that we got to connect in my adulthood and grateful he showed up so faithfully every single week for years to see my kids and walk my dog, drink coffee with my husband in our yard that he loved so much, and come out late at night to watch me play in cooked rock bands. I guess that made up for not being able to have him at ballet recitals as a kid. Getting to take my little kids to see Santa with him for the first time was like I got to do it all together for the first time again anyway. Thanks for teaching me to forget the past and enjoy today, thanks for giving me my love of dogs, road trips, photos, rock & roll and Range Rovers. Love you 🤍🕊️ 🤍
