Im 5-tägigen Workshop ALL POTENTIAL SELVES tauchen Jugendliche gemeinsam mit der Multimedia-Künstlerin SOFF in die Welt der Identitäten ein. SOFF begleitet die Jugendlichen mit Lebensfreude, Empowerment und radikaler Offenheit dabei, in dem Fall ihr persönliches Selbst ganzheitlich zu porträtieren – obsessiv, subjektiv, widersprüchlich.

Die Inspiration für die Woche kommt dabei aus der aktuellen Ausstellung Potentialities von Richard Hawkins. Er beschäftigt sich in seinen Gemälden, Collagen und Videos mit Stars aus Film, Mode und Popkultur, mit Fan-Sein und Begehren, mit Körper und Sexualität sowie auch mit Ängsten, Schattenseiten und Untiefen.Genau das bildet den Ausgangspunkt für ALL POTENTIAL SELVES.

Ob allein oder im Team – es kann alles gezeigt werden: vom eigenen Aufwachsen, von Dingen, die den Jugendlichen wichtig sind, von Vorbildern und Idolen, von verschiedenen Rollen bis hin zum „Schattenselbst“. Jede Person entscheidet dabei über das Medium, in das sie von SOFF eingearbeitet werden möchte: Malerei, Collage, Modedesign, Set-Bau, KI-Bildgenerierung, Videoproduktion, Fotografie, digitaler Bildbearbeitung, Musik-Produktion Found Footage oder Textarbeit. Wie bei einem Moodboard werden Bilder, Inhalte und Themen gesammelt und zu einem ganz persönlichen Kunstwerk zusammengefügt.

In der Präsentation am Ende der Woche sind die jungen Kreativen mit ihren Identitätscollagen Teil der insgesamt neun Workshops, die im Rahmen des KunstSommers am Freitag, 10.7.2026 ihre Ergebnisse zeigen werden – der Ort wird noch bestimmt.

It’s ridiculous how much of the human world is filled with copy-pasted places when every room could be transformed into a unique world. Humans constantly neglect their potential to create their own reality. But the work of @giger_art  felt like a seed of hope and a great joy to experience. 💫

On May 8, the artist SOFF invites you to visit Ego’s Planet, a fantastical place within the SOFF Multiverse. At @lehmbruckmuseum , a digital portal to this world will open for one evening: in front of a green screen, SOFF will photograph you and transport you directly to the posthuman being „Ego“ on their planet. Together, you will create your own personal memory from another reality. The finished image will be printed on site and can be taken with you immediately.
Come by, travel imaginatively to Ego’s Planet, and decide for yourself how you want to appear there.

Am 8. Mai lädt euch die Künstlerin SOFF zu einem Besuch auf Ego’s Planet ein, einem fantastischen Ort im SOFF Multiverse. Im Lehmbruck Museum öffnet sich für einen Abend ein digitales Portal in diese Welt: Vor einem Green Screen fotografiert euch SOFF und versetzt euch direkt zu Ego auf ihrem Planeten. Gemeinsam gestaltet ihr so eure persönliche Erinnerung aus einer anderen Realität. Das fertige Bild wird vor Ort ausgedruckt und kann direkt mitgenommen werden. Kommt vorbei, reist imaginär auf Ego’s Planet und entscheidet selbst, wie ihr euch dort zeigen wollt. Die Teilnahme an der Kunst-Interaktion ist kostenfrei. 🥹💕 It was such a moving moment for me when a museum staff member recently requested one of my artworks. Together with some others, she wanted to give it as a farewell gift to a colleague. She told me that they had been thinking about which artist had particularly inspired them in their lives, and that’s how they came to me. 😭

With great joy, I offered them this acrylic glass print edition of my medium of representation, “SOFF Transmitter”, including a link to a corresponding AR experience. In this way, the depicted interdimensional body (the one I’m holding in my hands in the photo) can be extracted from the image and imported into one’s own reality.

It feels so wonderful to share my work with others in a context like this. 🫶🏻
