It’s not all it’s cracked up to be .✦ ݁˖ Ever since my “imagine” video went viral I’ve been trying to straddle music goals with creator metrics/marketability, thinking if I could make big money as a content creator I could finance my music and make it all worth it... right?!

Wrong. Turns out they can’t coexist. And there’s a lot more to “content creation” than the self-help gurus make it seem.

So I know a lot of people will leave because they came for tears and joke songs, not real songs. But I’d rather go 25mph in the right direction than 60mph in the wrong one. (I’ll still be making a lot of this same stuff, just won’t be archiving the music posts bc they didn’t “do as well” 🙄)

So many of you “get it”. Despite wildly different stories, we all shared this part of the experience: getting by and looking forward, even when it felt impossible. That’s why I asked for your handwriting for the cover art. This song isn’t about me—it’s about tomorrow.

For a while there I experienced “hope” as more of a theory than an actual feeling. But putting these vague-yet-inevitable-seeming descriptions of the future to music made me FEEL it. Like, as @properkeith put it, a “secular hymn” to get me through the darkest days. I really deeply hope it can get someone else through theirs, too.

I am honestly shocked. Could not feel a thing because of the Ice Cooling Technology (the tip is super cold so it negates the heat from the IPL).

My honest assessment: big money & time saver in the long run. But it does take a time commitment the first month (you have to do it roughly every other day.)
