SSAB
SSAB is a global leader in premium steels, shaping a stronger, lighter, and more sustainable world.
How did Chris’ career journey start? Helping his family members with computers and having a curiosity of how things actually work.
Chris Tatum’s first IT role was on the Service Desk. Years later, he now helps safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of SSAB’s assets: devices, data, and people. 🧑💻
He enjoys identifying and recommending improvements that strengthen SSAB’s security posture. “It’s rewarding to know that my work helps protect the company and raises awareness about digital security among employees.”
A milestone Chris is truly proud of is earning his bachelor’s degree in computer science. It was a long journey that required persistence and dedication and achieving it has been both personally and professionally rewarding.
After work, he enjoys heading out for the occasional fishing trip, which gives him the perfect time to recharge. 🎣

New Volvo EX60 is the first car in the world to use our SSAB Zero™ steel in serial production. 🚘
The steel is produced from recycled scrap using fossil-free electricity and biogas, resulting in up to 70% lower fossil CO₂ emissions than conventional steel — without compromising strength, safety, or quality.
Going electric isn’t enough to reduce the carbon footprint of cars. That’s why @volvocars’ EX60 contains SSAB Zero™ steel.

Did you know that temperature of molten steel can be almost 1,700 degrees Celsius? 🔥
That is an extreme temperature far beyond everyday conditions. The molten steel is even hotter than lava, which typically ranges from about 700 to 1,200 °C.

There’s one single project that doesn’t go unnoticed by anyone in Sweden’s capital, Stockholm: the redevelopment of Slussen. 🏗️
Originally built in 1642 to bridge Södermalm and the Old Town, the new Slussen is no mere renovation — it’s a total transformation of a historic junction that serves a quarter of a million passengers every day. To call it one of Sweden’s most complex infrastructure projects is an understatement. It is a feat of precision and modern engineering.
A project of this magnitude requires a foundation that never yields. Deep beneath the surface lies 117,000 meters of SSAB steel piles — roughly 10,700 tonnes of high-strength steel providing the stability for this unique construction.
When fully completed in 2028, Slussen will be a modern hub for both people as well as waterways and all modes of transportation. From the depths of Stockholm’s bedrock to the skyline above, we’re proud to write a new chapter of urban infrastructure.

CEO Johnny Sjöström in SSAB’s report for Q1 2026:
“SSAB’s operating result for the first quarter of 2026 amounted to SEK 2,201 (1,351) million. The improvement was mainly related to higher results in SSAB Europe and SSAB Americas. The shipments of advanced steels were at a good level in the first quarter, and growth in these steels is a key in SSAB’s strategy to accelerate premium leadership.”

We’re thrilled that SSAB steel helped build Helsinki’s new Kruunuvuori Bridge — the longest and tallest bridge in Finland. 🏗️
The Kruunuvuori Bridge is approximately 1,200 metres long, and its central pylon rises to a height of 135 metres. But its most impressive feature isn’t its scale, it’s its purpose: Kruunuvuori Bridge is dedicated solely to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport. Zero private cars.
The bridge links the city centre to residential areas and includes around 3,000 tonnes of SSAB’s high strength steel in its structure, together with driven and drilled steel piles in the foundations.
Join us celebrating this landmark for sustainable mobility! 🎉

Rinaldo loves finding solutions to everyday problems. His colleagues love it, too. Sometimes he finds the solution so quickly that it leaves them surprised. 🤝
As a Senior Engineer at SSAB Alabama, Rinaldo Boccarda keeps the control systems for reheat, rolling and finishing running smoothly: maintaining servers, updating software and building interfaces that help operators work smarter every day.
After joining in 2002, he has expanded his expertise from Finishing to Reheat and Rolling Level 2 systems, learning something new with every upgrade and challenge.
And outside the mill? Rinaldo resets by walking or swimming, tending to his succulent garden, listening vinyls from his collection and spending time with his family and dogs. 🪴🎵

How will we move steel scrap at SSAB Oxelösund? In high-performing containers made of our own steel. ⚙️
More than 2,000 containers will circulate once the electric arc furnace in Oxelösund, Sweden, is up and running, transporting scrap efficiently by rail and truck. Two sizes — 34 m³ and 47 m³ — ensure flexibility for varying bulk densities.
Designed by SSAB and produced by the Polish company Pol-Osteg, the containers are built mainly with Hardox® 450 wear plate, with selected units in Hardox® 500 Tuf and reinforced with Strenx® 700 MC Plus steel.
Production is now in full swing, with eight containers completed per day and monthly shipments to Oxelösund beginning in May.
To secure safe, weather-protected storage, containers will be stacked at the 28,000 m² Lotsåkern site, with smart features like drainage holes, rubber skirts, and protective lids to prevent water and ice from entering.

Last week, our European Graduate Program and Technical Development Program participants kicked off their Base Camp at SSAB Luleå in Sweden and continued to SSAB Raahe in Finland. 👷♀️👷♂️
The 10 graduates had the chance to connect, share what they work on, and dive deeper into the transformation toward fossil-free steel production, both technically and economically.
The final day included a construction challenge using spaghetti and marshmallows. The winning structure reached 79 cm — great job! 🎉

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
