We went to QFC yesterday and, while we were there, we picked up a big box of Diamond "Strike on the Box" matches. Is it a new state or city policy that I.D. is required to do so? I had to show my driver's license to get matches.

Sadly, it looks like @divisionhardware at 3734 SE Division Street in Portland has given up on their complimentary popcorn.

My brother and I both have a fond recollection of an event when we were boys.
In 1956 my dad took us both to a Portland Beaver baseball game at Multnomah Stadium (now Providence Park).
Dad owned a blue Indian Brave motorcycle which he referred to as a “small motorcycle” (which it wasn’t). Mom probably thought
it would be more acceptable if it were “small.”
One fine summer day, dad decided that the three of us, Mike 13, me 10 and he should all go to a Beavers baseball game.
We all three hopped on the bike, dad driving, Mike on the back and me sandwiched in between the two, and hit the road.
Up Cully Blvd. and down Sandy Blvd. to NE Broadway Street and across the Broadway Bridge.
Here is where the memory is most vivid for me, we crossed the bridge and travelled up to NW 18th Street via the old Lovejoy Ramp which passed over all the railroad tracks at Union Station and continued over the warehouses which are now the Pearl District before it came back down to street level at NW 14th.
Of course parking was easy for a motorcycle and we entered the stadium and walked through a tunnel to our seats and we were awed by the green of the stadium’s natural grass. Rocky Benevento was busy getting the infield ready for play.
Memories fail to recollect the final score but we both are in synch about what happened after the game. We all hopped back on the bike and rode down to Ankeny Street and Dan and Louis' Oyster Bar.
Dan and Louis' was dad’s favorite restaurant and he always had oyster stews, “one right after the other.”
We celebrated Mike’s birthday last Friday by going back to the Oyster Bar and enjoying dad’s favorite soup.
We were waited on by Kai Wachsmuth, a descendant of the original owners, who treated us like royalty.
The restaurant has not changed, it has the same charming nautical theme. But now it has big windows that look onto Second Avenue and brighten the interior.
We didn’t ride there on an Indian Brave, only my Mazda 3, but we had a delightful time anyway.
The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
