The most iconic example of a ‘rock god’ playing steel however, was Jerry Garcia’s guest spot on “Teach Your Children” by CSNY.

Just before the holidays we (Adam & Stew) got together with the drum machine and played a quick version of ‘Every Day Infinite’ from the (still rather) new Duke of Norfolk album, Camera.

If you happen to live in Paris, we’re playing a set together opening for the mysterious John Chablis at La Pointe Lafayette ce lundi (19 Janvier @ 20h30 !). It’s going to be a grand time and we’re going to mix at least one country song into the set of Duke of Norfolk tunes… on espère vous voir lundi !

With its overtly country style and temporary addition of Gram Parsons, the Byrds’ 6th album introduced generations of listeners to the pedal steel guitar.

Featuring both JayDee Maness and Lloyd Green on steel, Sweetheart of the Rodeo had a huge influence on the then burgeoning genre of country rock!
