The more I notice the physical world around me, the more I see that packaging design is not just about beautiful visuals (although beautiful objects delight me immensely). In its essence, packaging design carries the hopes and visions for a world that could be made different. It can be the evocation of what we know is possible, of what we want our world to be, of the lives that we can impact, and of the creativity that enlivens us.

And for me, designing for a purposeful product feels like nothing less of a world made real. A world we now *choose* to birth — one object at a time.

I love making posters as they are one-off opportunities to be wild with the materials and with myself. These are a series for a concept film festival I dreamed up. Nearshore is the place where the amorphous, oceanic Mystery meets the land form. Like cinema. Like the canvas.

wāv is a conceptual toothpaste brand that aspires to be a gentle disruptor in the dental care category. More than just selling a toothpaste, wāv’s vision is to RECLAIM the ritual of everyday tasks, REVIVE ancient herbal wisdom for modern self-care, while RESTORING the Earth’s natural balance.

It breaks away from conventional dental products and their aesthetics, and seeks to embody a bolder and more heartful brand language that connects with its audience — those who buy and consume with intention.

For that, it needed a brand and packaging identity that expresses what a conscious toothpaste product can be — intentional, sensual, and earth-conscious.

I created the packaging design and brand identity of wāv from in-depth market research and positioning strategy that very much informed the design.

Lumi skincare is the intersection of functional / minimalist skincare and truly distinct, playful brand identity.

Very often in the minimalist trend, in pursue of less is more (which I still love and enjoy), brands can focus too much on what and who they *don't* want to be, and in that, sometimes a sense of personhood or idiosyncrasy can be lost.

What lights me up as a designer is to in fact help businesses find that juicy balance between simplicity and their very own human expression.
