Suzanne Innes-Stubb ja presidentti Alexander Stubb seisoivat New Yorkissa YK:n yleiskokouksen viikolla General Motors -tornin edessä, rohkeasti rauhan ja demokratian puolella.
Kuva jää historiaan myös siksi, että presidenttipari on valinnut linjan, joka vaatii riippumatonta ajattelua ja arvojohtajuutta. Hetken symboliikkaa täydensi Suzanne Innes-Stubbin valinta pukeutua Studio Lamean asuun, jonka arvokkuus ja hienovarainen voima loivat tilanteeseen lisäkerroksen merkitystä.
Valinta ei ollut vain tyylikysymys, vaan myös arvovalinta.
Rauhan ja demokratian puolustaminen on osa suomalaista identiteettiä ja juuri nämä arvot näkyvät nyt kirkkaasti myös presidenttiparin toiminnassa.
Studio Lamea syntyi ajatuksesta, että suomalainen muoti voi olla eettisesti kantava, ajattoman elegantti ja rohkeasti omanlaisensa – kansainvälisellä vivahteella.
