UPDATE: funds no longer needed! the family is in a stable enough position that money donated could be more valuable to other families with similar hurdles!

APRIL 2ND UPDATE: The father WAS granted immigration bond, despite the previous likelihood of him being deported; we got a good judge and had good luck amongst an unpredictable court! He should be returning home to his wife and child in Oakland County within the next couple days. The bond is unfortunately $15,000, but some organizations are helping us cover some/all of the costs! THANK YOU for all your donations, shares, and efforts to help this family the past couple of months! ❤️

Update: The baby was able to come home after spending his first month in the hospital, but it is becoming more likely that the father will be deported. Still uncertain if this family will stay in the US, or go back to Columbia.

was so great to see not only friends but many neighbors support this fundraiser and share their feelings. the governments we’re under truly don’t represent how many of us care 🥲

one neighbor even pulled out a few FDT stickers she had on her and gave them to me to raise money with!!!! 🙌
