Join SVCREATES, Leigh Henderson, and Ryan Pilat on Friday, June 5 from 12:00pm - 1:30pm for an AI Grant Writing workshop to learn about a new tool supporting arts organizations in leveling up their grant applications using AI. Rather than churning out generic text, this tool supports you in avoiding repetitive structural heavy lifting, allowing you to use your energy where it belongs: on the storytelling.

Join us to learn how funders look at grant applications, how this tool works to support arts leaders, and how to use it to minimize the "busy work" of applications, so that you can have a great grant, generated by you, and get back to the artmaking that drives your mission.

On April 21, hundreds of arts leaders from all over California gathered in Sacramento for Arts Advocacy Day. Local arts leaders joined SVCREATES to demonstrate the impact of the arts to state legislators serving Santa Clara County, meeting with the offices of Assemblymembers @alex_lee, @ash_kalra, @marc_berman, and @patrickjamesahrens, and Senators @josh.becker.ca and @senatordavecortese to advocate for our budget priorities: $50 million for the @calartscouncil and $40 million for Performing Arts Equitable Payroll Fund (PAEPF).

Continue the momentum! Visit @caartsadvocates for actions to protect public arts funding.

SVCREATES is pleased to receive a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (@neaarts) for “Arts Projects Spotlighting the Spirit of Sports.” In anticipation of FIFA World Cup 2026™ soccer tournaments being hosted in the United States, these grants support arts projects that celebrate American creativity and highlight local artistic and cultural traditions in connection with soccer-related celebrations.

This grant will support SVCREATES' partnership with the @sjculture to produce CityDance San Jose 2026, a free series of dance and music events on select dates in June.

NEA Chairman Mary Anne Carter said, “As audiences around the world focus on this global moment, the National Endowment for the Arts is excited to support these community-centered projects that link American cultural expression and highlight local creativity with the excitement of international soccer."

We are pleased to feature a guest blog from Carolyn Schuk, President of Silicon Valley Arts Coalition (@artssiliconvalley). A coalition of performing arts organizations with a collective audience of more than 15,000 patrons, SVAC provides its members with shared visibility, operational knowledge, and civic presence and advocacy.

"Silicon Valley understands ecosystems. In technology, no company succeeds alone — progress depends on networks of capital, talent, and shared knowledge. The arts, by contrast, have long operated as if each organization must sustain itself independently. In a region like Silicon Valley, that model is increasingly untenable."

Some of the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance team spent Tuesday at SVCREATES Town Hall 2026: Stronger. Together.

From cross-sector partnerships to conversations on systems change, we were reminded that meaningful impact starts with connection—and a willingness to think beyond our own sectors.

One theme that stood out: collaboration requires more than shared goals. It asks us to understand the language, priorities, and challenges of those we’re working alongside.

We also explored the role organizations play in either reinforcing or disrupting the systems we operate within—pushing us to reflect on how we show up, who we center, and how we build with community.

Grateful to be in a space with leaders committed to learning, collaboration, and driving real change.

Continue the conversation with us at our upcoming Grantmakers Forum on May 7 as we bring together funders and nonprofit leaders to explore what’s next for our sector.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
