Happy Tuesday y’all! I see I got a handful of new followers for those that don’t know me here is a little about me and my work and offcourse my side kick Ollie the cat. Trying to show my face on here a little more. This was a video I made a few years ago. I thought I would share a little about me and behind the scenes.

This is a workshop for celebrating happy artistic accidents.

Have you ever wondered how creative limitations can actually unlock a stronger artistic voice or help you innovate your creativity? What happens when you remove most of your tools and allow yourself to work with just one simple mark? The Accidental Ink Drops and Paper Bits workshop explores how working with constraints can spark creativity and push your visual storytelling in new directions.

Join award winning illustrator, Brizida Magro for a workshop exploring the creative power of limitations through a unique drawing challenge. During this workshop, Brizida will share a 30-day ink droplet experiment in which she restricted herself to using only ink droplets to generate imagery—discovering unexpected forms, characters, and compositions along the way.
*
During the workshop, we will see:
💮How creative limitations can strengthen artistic voice
💮The concept behind the 30-day Ink Droplet Challenge
💮Techniques for generating imagery using only ink droplets
💮Strategies for turning simple marks into expressive illustrations
💮How daily creative constraints can build consistency and experimentation

You’ll also get the chance to get independent feedback on your ideas from Brizida at the end of the session. We can’t wait to see you there!

The event will be held online via ZOOM - the link will be sent to you directly via email before the event.

All tickets are £60 INCLUSIVE of booking fee - and are non-refundable.

The event is LIVE - but buying a ticket will give you access to a recording of the workshop lecture - which will be available to view back for one month. You will be sent a link for this within 48 hours of the event.

Happy Monday everyone! I am little late in the running here…I am thrilled to share that this illustration for “All the Things We Carry” is a jury selection for @soi128 Society of Illustrators 69th Annual Exhibition. Thank you for all the hardwork that went into everyone that juries this show.

This book was published in the UK by @alisongreen41 Alison Green Books Art directed by the wonderful @zoe_tucker_design and beautiful written by @helendochertyauthor

Then McMillan bought world rights in the US and the title changed to “I”ll Carry You” make sure to pick up a copy of this gem in link to bio or wherever books are sold.

It’s 2025 it’s wrap ya ‘ll. Better late than never just a couple hours before midnight. It’s been a very busy year for me which is a good problem to have. I can’t wait to share more with you of what I have been working on.

This year was filling with lots to be thankful for. I secured some wonderful books deals.

Completed to new children’s books they both launch next year.

Had two books launch this year and those two books also got accepted into the Original Art Show at the Society of Illustrators.

Was a guest speaker for the wonderful folks at Orange Beak Studio.
