It's the city that never sleeps, baby! I hopped on the subway to get to the Chita Rivera Awards nomination cocktail event! Yes, fierce people catch the train every day in New York City. It was so wonderful to see and celebrate with fellow musical theater artist, performers, dancers. Dancers show up first and leave last. Get paid the least but work the hardest. Train harder and longer to gain technique yet have shorter careers due to the physical strain on the body. Dancers are the strength and backbone of musical theater. And finally there's an award to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our craft. Thanks to people like Joe Lanteri and Michael Demby Cain who were chosen by Chita Rivera herself to keep her legacy alive and to promote and celebrate the craft of Musical theater dance❤️🤗🤩 Cats: The Jellicle Ball was nominated for Best Choreography, Best Ensemble and several individual nods including the incredible Sydney James Harcourt who is one of the standout performers in the show. @bebeneuwirth @lanterijoe @michaeldembycain @sydneyharcourt

This photo surfaced in my memories and I had to share. Adrian Bailey was my Broadway brother and I miss him every day. One of the kindest, generous, and supportive individuals that ever existed on this planet. A true icon and legend of this industry.

Broadway brother's myself and @paulsoileau at Joe's Pub to glorifying in the light that is @blbuckley Betty Buckley.

With my life long friend @blbuckley Betty Buckley the OG Grizabella. We bonded over theater exercises which we did for a month prior to getting into "the script."
As a young dancer, I wanted to be paired with another dancer. But Betty and I ended up together. It was one of the best experiences of my theatrical life, as I was and am forever changed. Her show at Joe's Pub was a masterclass in Cabaret and story telling. A must see for any performer who longs to stand before and hold an audience on a single breathe 🥰🤩 Thank you Betty for sharing your gifts❤️
