Lacie Black

Barely keeping my head above the water these days, so this is a little late on the posting. 😅🤪 But if you get a chance, swing by tomorrow (October 26th!) and say goodbye to Elliott!
And then hug me because I need hugs right now. 🥹♥️

He received his mission call!!!
Elliott will be serving in the Peru Trujillo North Mission. He begins home MTC on October 27th and will leave for the Provo MTC to begin his language training on November 5th.
Opening his call was one of the most beautiful experiences, and one I will never forget. We decided that our family needed something a little more personal as we opened his call, and so we drove to one of Elliott’s favorite places and we quietly shared in that experience together as a family.
Right before he opened his letter we said a family prayer that we would know if his call was right for him and as soon as it was read we all received a powerful confirmation that this is exactly where God needs Elliott to be.
One of the most unexpected and beautiful feelings for me in this moment was the instantaneous love that I felt for the people of Peru. God loves them so, so much. And because I love them now too, I can give them my son for two years.
Still, if anyone needs me, I will probably be crying, so bring a tissue.

Alright, I’ll stop…. 😂
I’ll just say this… We have such an amazing stake and I am so thankful for all of the incredible friendships between these awesome kids.
The end.

This will have to be a two-parter because there aren’t enough pictures allowed for me to show everything in one post, so this one right here is just dedicated to these three kids who were lucky enough to have one glorious overlap for Mormon Prom.
Elliott’s last (trying not to think about it. 😭) and the girls’ first (trying not to think about it 😂).
I might never get over how incredible they looked or how proud I am of the amazing people they are becoming.
I just might never get over it.
(Also, the third picture… that’s what happens when you tell your kids to just be serious for one second so you can take a good picture. 😐🙄😅)

I haven’t really been able to find the words, Grandpa.
I’m just really going to miss holding your hand.
For those who would like to attend, the funeral will be held at 11am on December 7th with a viewing at 9:30 that morning.

I found this next to my sink today… I don’t really know what happened to bring us to this point, but he clearly died with honor. 🫡
@ggwynnef I’m thinking this guy might actually belong to you? 😂

Halloween 2024!
Last year Jess and I said no family costumes this year - they are a LOT of work! BUT they won us over when they reminded us that Elliott will most likely be on his mission next Halloween, so we needed to “lock in” as the kids say these days. 😂
We decorate haunted mansion every year, and it’s our (second) favorite ride at Disneyland. So we did, in fact, lock in. 🤪😅
Be sure to bring your death certificate!

I am EXCESSIVELY fond of the fact that my sewing machine manual foot example, is wearing a slipper. I just feel so SEEN!
Also, my machine pretty much only comes out during Halloween time, and it’s been at least two years since I’ve used her, so… wish me luck! 😂

The Little School: Day 1
Last week was supposed to be the first week of school, but it didn’t end up working out so well, so I scrapped it, and started today instead.
I pretty much change my entire homeschool plan every single year, but this year I am just hoping to better execute last year’s goals. 🤪🙏🏻
Here’s hoping all of the magical, whimsical, carefree - experience led - dreams that I have for this school year come true!
I hope, I hope, I hope.
Also, it’s not a real family outing without Fiona defacing private property and dirty bare feet.
Wish Jess could have been there! His job is cramping our whole vibe of carefree living. 😅
Bless him.
In the meantime, every first day of school should be filled with fresh raspberries, apple cider donuts and cold apple cider.
It just should.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
