Last week concluded Final Reviews and Exhibitions across the Tulane School of Architecture and Built Environment! Over the course of two weeks, our spaces were filled with models, drawings, proposals, and presentations from students across architecture, design, historic preservation, landscape architecture and engineering, sustainable urbanism, real estate development, and social innovation and social entrepreneurship. It was incredible to see the range of work on display and we are so proud of everything our students accomplished this semester.

Congratulations to all students and faculty on a great end to the year!

What does it actually feel like to be part of @urbanbuild.tulane? Abbas shares what the experience taught him about architecture, community, and what it means to take responsibility as a designer beyond the drafting table. From shoveling the ground to seeing a finished home take shape in the Lower Ninth Ward, URBANbuild gives students the chance to understand firsthand how design can improve the quality of life for the people who need it most.

At Tulane, Historic Preservation is about working with living communities to build more sustainable futures. Rooted in New Orleans and the Gulf South, our program engages climate change, coastal land loss, cultural continuity, and community resilience while valuing traditional trade knowledge and hands-on practice. We view and utilize the past as a tool for positive change. Tulane offers a Master of Science in Historic Preservation, a Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation, and an undergraduate Minor in Historic Preservation.

That's a wrap on classes for the semester!

From first-year foundations to graduate theses and senior capstones, students across architecture, design, historic preservation, landscape architecture and engineering, real estate development, sustainable urbanism, and social innovation & social entrepreneurship spent the semester tackling real challenges and pushing their work forward. Thank you to our students and faculty for another year of thoughtful design, critical inquiry, and bold ideas at the Tulane School of Architecture and Built Environment.

URBANbuild is a design/build program where students take on the design and construction of prototypical homes for New Orleans neighborhoods. Working alongside community partners like Louvis Services, students are involved in every stage of the process, from initial design concepts to the final build.

The program is rooted in a commitment to support partners revitalizing New Orleans' urban fabric and strengthening neighborhoods, and gives students a deep understanding of what it means to design with and for a community. It’s one of the ways the Tulane School of Architecture and Built Environment puts community-centered design into practice.

At the Tulane School of Architecture and Built Environment, fabrication labs and computational tools are just the starting point. Abbas Ghaffari’s Master of Architecture thesis shows how far students can go when they push beyond expected applications of their craft.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
