‘Gentle, Angry Women’ documentary will be shown at The Folk of Gloucester on the 15 May as part of their ‘Protest!’ events!
It is the latest documentary film by award-winning Cornish film company Awen Productions. The story follows three young women as they retrace the march to Greenham Common, forty years on from the first Women’s Peace Protests.
These screenings are part of ‘Protest!’, a community programme of events by the The Folk of Gloucester and Voices of Gloucester to commemorate 100 years since the General Strike.

You will get the chance to climb 269 steps to the top of Gloucester's most iconic landmark and enjoy breath taking views of 40 miles over the countryside, and will get behind the scenes access to ancient roof spaces and see the largest medieval bell in Britain that is still in use!

We checked out @topolys_italianglos this weekend and what a gorgeous spot! We both said it felt like the sort of place you visit on holiday!
This family run restaurant has been here for 37 years and you can really tell. It has such a warm feel and it was so buzzy from 4.30pm!
We enjoyed:
- Bianchetti Fritti - Whitebait, rocket, tartar sauce.
- Spaghetti al Pistachio - Silky, creamy pistachio sauce. garlic, pistachios and burrata cheese.
- Spaghetti con le Polpette al Sugo - Garlic Napoli, Calabrian chilli, parmesan, beef meatballs, micro basil. A classic Italian dish with a spicy twist.
We also enjoyed chips and garlic bread on the side and our daughter tucked into a tasty pizza.
Everything was delicious, the service was great and we would absolutely recommend!
