most small brands are stuck between what they set out to do at the beginning and making a profit.
profit. profit. profit.
but why did we start short straw? it was to support the people we want to see skate more. whether that’s a couple of boards, a trip and a tee then so be it. profit shmofit. if we actually planned out to make money in our world of skateboarding then we’d be doing it for the wrong reasons or we’d just sell mattresses.

so here we are at the precipice of actually making a profit and throwing it back to why we started short straw in the first place. to force jake mitchell to film a section alongside our already established team of what experts have described as “the politest brand in skateboarding”.
that’s us we reckon.
