"We'll live here, someday"

Bill Briggs on Snow King, community, and the early vision of life in Jackson.

A short vignette from my Snow King oral history project capturing the voices that shaped the Town Hill — and the culture that grew around it.

It's been a bad year for snow - 1963 was worse!

A little perspective from the Town Hill Archives.

Thanks to Jackson Hole Public Art for supporting this oral history project and helping keep these stories alive. Small, independently run ski areas are the heart of the sport and Snow King is one of the best.

The Allman Brothers were my first live show, Great Woods, MA, maybe 1992?? A few years later I got to see the Grateful Dead, June 15th, 1995; Highgate, VT.

Almost 35 years later my taste in music hasn’t changed much and it was a true honor to get to photograph some of the incredible musicians that are carrying forward the legacy of the music that has played such an important and consistent role in my life.

Huge thanks to @lisahadleybetts @duanebetts & @jimcann for including me and to all of the musicians for playing one hell of a show!

Some 35mm film shots from a recent 4 night trip on the Stillwater Canyon section of the Green River.

We decided to use stand up paddle boards, which are now my favorite method for multi-day river travel.

This winter myself and two friends attempted the Haute Route, which is a multi-day ski traverse, that starts near Chamonix, in the Mont Blanc valley and ends at the foot of the Matterhorn, in Zermatt, Switzerland, covering a little less than 100mi, in the high Alps.

We encountered the full range of weather, including some beautiful sunshine, but it was a late season storm that forced us to bail out a day early, into the small town of Arolla, Switzerland, where we spent the next few days sampling schnapps and skiing the local hill, that was served by a couple really sporty rope tows.

Hands down one of the best trips of my life.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
