The @caribbeanopen shoot off is always such a blast. Going up against ballers like @joie.curtner and @glock2jz definitely puts the pressure on, especially when they took the draw out of it this year 😂. But a cool environment for a match. This is the kind of thing that shooters and non-shooters alike can watch and enjoy and I hope our sports lean into it more!

SHOOTING ON THE MOVE

When it comes to shooting on the move, the most important piece that dictates WHEN you shoot is what you’re seeing—not what your feet are doing. Lowering yourself and using your hips and knees to cushion your movement WILL better stabilize your dot. Better stability equals consistent return of the dot.

One important piece when training on shooting on the move is being aware to the movement or tracking of the dot. Your dot may track straight up and down when static, but it will behave differently when moving—especially during lateral movement. Explore with the lower half of your body and figure out what you need to quiet the dot.
