🚨The Trump authoritarian regime has deployed ICE agents to over a dozen airports around the country.🚨

The reason? To respond to the chaos the regime itself has caused with the government shutdown and its refusal to fund TSA, a public service that taxpayer money should directly go toward.
It’s simple: ICE has no place in our airports. There’s no amount of training or body cameras that can keep us safe from the machinery of death.

ICE is an unaccountable paramilitary force designed to terrorize Black and brown communities that has already killed multiple American citizens. The culture of ICE is fundamentally broken—and we know that department abuses will continue now that Trump ally and controversial Senator Markwayne Mullin has been confirmed to replace Kristi Noem as DHS Secretary.

The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act would block millions from exercising their right to vote – especially Black and Brown voters. It’s about blatant voter suppression, not “protecting election integrity.”

The SAVE Act will impose unnecessary and harmful barriers by:
–Requiring voters to physically bring documentary proof of citizenship– like a passport or birth certificate–to register to vote or update their registration status.
–Ignoring the fact that non-citizen voting is already illegal and extremely rare.
–Shifting the burden of proof onto everyday voters rather than on government systems.
–Cutting out accessible registration methods like online and mail registration.

Many do not readily have access to these required documents, essentially shutting them out of the voting process. With the crucial 2026 midterms approaching, this is a moment for action.

This isn’t a hypothetical fight. The choice lawmakers make here will determine whether millions of voters can participate in elections without unnecessary obstacles.

On Saturday, our communities returned to the original battlegrounds where our ancestors fought for the right to vote, places now facing renewed and escalating attacks.

The 1965 march from Selma to Montgomery helped secure passage of the Voting Rights Act, the landmark legislation that removed discriminatory barriers and finally enforced Black Americans' constitutional right to vote, and that right-wing extremists have been working to dismantle ever since.

We are proud to stand with Black Voters Matter and our coalition partners at the Fight Back Table in mobilizing in Alabama and beyond to challenge these discriminatory maps. People came from across the country because they know an attack on Black voters is an attack on freedom for all Americans.
