The creator who gave us ‘Schitt’s Creek’ is back with a very different kind of family story. 👀

Dan Levy and Taylor Ortega bring sibling chaos to the cover of Out as the stars of Netflix’s new dark comedy ‘Big Mistakes’ — a series that begins with one stolen necklace and spirals into blackmail, organized crime, and a family trying very badly to clean up a mess of their own making.

Levy co-created the show with Rachel Sennott (‘I Love LA’) and stars as Nicky, a pastor juggling faith, love, and secrets, while Ortega’s Morgan is the impulsive sister whose mistake sends their lives off the rails.

After the warm, heartfelt world of ‘Schitt’s Creek,’ Levy says this new show takes viewers somewhere much wilder.

“‘Schitt’s Creek’ was a warm hug,” he says. “And this is a Six Flags, strap-yourself-in-and-go-for-a-ride type of show.”

Enter the world of sibling schemes, double lives, and very big mistakes — and see Out’s March/April cover stars @instadanjlevy and @taylortega at the link in bio.

One stolen necklace. One crime syndicate. Two siblings wildly unqualified for organized crime.

In ‘Big Mistakes,’ Dan Levy and Taylor Ortega play Nicky and Morgan — siblings whose lives spiral after a single impulsive decision pulls them into a criminal underworld in suburban New Jersey.

The new Netflix series blends dark comedy with the kind of messy family dynamics Levy is known for writing — just with much higher stakes.

“This show is really at its core an examination of ancestry and how we as people are the by-products of our parents and our parents’ parents,” Levy says.

The creator who gave us David Rose is back with a very different kind of family story.

Dan Levy returns to television with ‘Big Mistakes,’ Netflix’s dark comedy about siblings navigating crime, secrets, and the complicated bonds that keep families together — even when everything is falling apart.

Levy has long been drawn to telling queer stories where acceptance is simply part of the world.

“I was just telling stories of lives that I knew or people that I knew — and in doing that, I think that is representation,” he says. “When there’s a heavy hand associated with representing something, it feels less authentic.”

Like ‘Schitt’s Creek,’ the new series also explores the relationship between a mother and a gay son — something Levy famously wrote alongside Catherine O’Hara’s Moira Rose.

“She was the greatest, she was the funniest,” Levy says. “She will be dearly missed, and I will think of her every day.” ❤️

'She’s The He' brings gender-swapping teen comedies into the present!

Following in the footsteps of 'Bottoms,' director Siobhan McCarthy looks to breathe new life into the subgenre of sex comedies where high schoolers pose as male or female coeds. The hijinks-filled, coming-of-age film that celebrates friendship and self-discovery. Best friends and high school seniors Ethan and Alex (Misha Osherovich and Nico Carney) decide to pose as trans women as their last effort to convince people they’re not gay.

Linda Perry has always worn her heart on her sleeve.

Perry returns with a heart-wrenching new album, 'Let It Die Here,' marking 25 years since her last release. Written in just three weeks after a significant loss, each song pulls from her raw emotional journey. An accompanying documentary offers a deeper look at this artistic rebirth, reminding us of her fearless authenticity in both music and life.

The singer is also reminding all queer people to stand up and stick together to face any further adversities that are likely to come under the current administration.

'Blue Film' is here! 💙🎬

Writer-director Elliot Tuttle says it's important to "create from a place without fear" and that’s exactly what he has done with his feature debut.

Stars Kieron Moore and Reed Birney want to “push the boundaries” in the queer film that leaves many sitting in discomfort.

A new queer movie is provoking strong enough reactions to send audiences walking out of theaters.

‘Blue Film’is unapologetic in exploring controversial and taboo themes about fetish. Written and directed by Elliot Tuttle, it’s also “a beautiful love story,” according to its makers.

“I think the most important thing that queer people can do is create from a place without fear and make exactly what they want to make,” Tuttle tells us.

‘Blue Film’ had a very rocky start when it first premiered.Film festivals such as Sundance and SXSW rejected the drama, and audience members walked out of certain screenings at the Edinburgh International Film Festival due to the graphic depiction of erotic gay sex and taboo relationships.

“Everyone's entitled to their emotions and the subject matter. I would encourage people to try and sit with that discomfort. Push your own boundaries, and test your morality. You want a polarizing film! I don't want lukewarm. Strong opinions are great opinions,” Kieron Moore says.
