Fender lawsuit update — May 19, 2026 👀

The cat is officially out of the bag.

Fender's legal battle being waged against boutique builders has now been covered by Guitar World, along with major guitar YouTube voices like Phil McKnight, Tim Pierce, and John Nathan Cordy.

Meanwhile, LSL Guitars has officially launched a GoFundMe to help cover legal defense costs as small builders face mounting pressure and massive legal expenses.

To help support the cause, we created Tone Nerds shirts with 100% of proceeds going directly toward supporting the fundraiser.

Someone very angrily told me “don’t make music for others. Do it for you”. So I wrote yet another song for others; for those grieving; for those who need it.

About the music…
“When the Tears Fall” 💧 by Amar Alhoch is out everywhere. This song represents the journey of a difficult experience or loss. The popular beginning which was the previous video begins with “when the tears fall”. The string section transitions to this part here which represents “when the storm passes” followed by the heightened intensity representing “when the memories resurface”. 👇

Quick music theory idea…
My approach to writing this music is with a through-composed format, meaning no repeating sections. This makes the music sound less like a traditional song and more like a story. Every section is a new chapter.

The guitar and tone:
I used my LSL Saticoy custom 24 through an LSL Clara Boost to a Beetronics Nectar Tone sweetener to a Fractal FM3 and a Flamma Innovations FS02.
