I still can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m headed back to Emporia, Kansas for a second go at Unbound. I know. I know. I’m not racing, but a day of chasing these animals around Kansas is still a feat for this ol’ man. Unbound continues to be so many rider’s dream victory, so here’s hoping everyone has a great day out. Looking forward hours and hours of quality road-tripping with @czandy56 and the @bicyclehaus crew. Emporia or bust.

Throwing it back to the college days when I photographed Reggie “Killa” Miller (this is pre-season of his rookie season) before he became a famous gravel athlete. If memory serves correctly, the other fella in the photo was a pretty good hooper, too.

The City is always a delight and today was no exception. The weather was warm and everywhere I turned there were fascinating people. If you haven’t yet, check out what Basil Racuk’s is doing with vintage kimono fabric and what Johnny is doing at State of Flux.

We came. We saw. We ate some red dirt, drank some sweet tea, ate some brisket and then sat at the airport for a few hours. Luckily, we have the memories of big ol’ Bobby hugs to carry us over until the next time our paths cross. The big man did us proud, not only with a sprint for P7, but maintaining his ever impressive positive attitude and an uncanny ability to know there is really great dirt coming up around the next bend.

It’s hard to believe, but I’m back in Stillwater for my forth MidSouth Gravel race. Sadly, it looks like it’s going to be fast and dry, although the winds today were no joke. I’ve been in town 24 hours and still haven’t had a Bobby sighting, but I’m sure that will be resolved tomorrow. #gopistolpete

The year was 2017, and I was attending the tenth edition of the Strade Bianche. I witnessed Sky Rider Michał Kwiatkowski ride solo through the streets of Siena and into the Piazza del Campo for his second Strade victory. I spent most of the day being tossed around the passenger seat of the Gruber-mobile on that cold, wet and windy day. It was something to watch Ashley navigate the backroads of Tuscany like a professional rally driver. #goodtimes

Another day spent chasing bike nerds around some seriously remote country roads. The new cameras are still shockingly confusing for this old man with all the buttons and menus and blinking lights, but I’m getting a little better with the autofocus options. #huffmaster #grasshopperadventureseries
