Last month marked both Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the 2 year anniversary of “Poison”❤️‍🩹

At some point, ‘Poison’ stopped feeling like it only belonged to ME. It stopped beingjust my story, my pain, my testimony. It became a space people found themselves in. A place where silence was broken, conversations were started, and survivors felt a little less alone. Everything that once felt “stolen” from me, suddenly started to reappear in a different form.

Over the last 2 years, I’ve been trusted with stories from survivors all over the world. Stories filled with grief, resilience, healing, fear, strength, and survival. That trust has changed me forever.

So to every survivor who has trusted me & healed alongside me — thank you. I carry your words with me every single day, and I will never stop using my voice for this, for us, for change❤️‍🩹

When I wrote this, I was playing with the idea of “memory lane” as more than a phrase, like it’s an actual place you can visit if you let yourself. Feeling nostalgic not just for a person, but for a feeling 💕
