Uses and abuses of audio gear! Here I'm showing how the Tonograf overdrives with drum tracks. Driving them hot with a line amp (grey box on top) and 20dB inline pads on the outputs allows us to crucify that germanium output stage into blissful harmonic soft clipping. Absolutely love the sound of these little things!

The Shadow OP-6; Electrically a meticulous recreation of the RCA OP-6. Aesthetically a very nice looking piece of studio equipment that took years in the making. Solid aluminium knobs, elma switch for stepped gain control in 2dB steps, large chrome toggle switches, gold plated connectors throughout, chrome handles, and a 1950s style wrinkle paint finish that is just awesome.

Montage montage; a Tonograf EQ being assembled! Our faithful recreation of the legendary TAB W95 EQ from the 1960s, which took quite some years to finalise. Simply put, these modules are really something special. Such a unique design both in the equaliser itself and the amplifier stages within. Fitting just as comfortably within someone's mix chain as it does in a recording setup where EQing on the way in is how you like to do it... Commitment!!

SSL SiX mixer arrives to the gear hospital... This one was out partying a bit too hard and had a beverage spilled on him... Oh dear... That caused catastrophic failure of the power supply section which then caused overload to the external power supply which in turn burnt the internal layers of the PCB. Not a great result really... Hopefully SSL can supply a replacement board...

I also managed to bring a few little gems home that had been waiting for me there; vintage Haufe transformers which will hopefully go into a limited run on a future product, some GDR cassette tapes, and of course some Eckmilker passive filter modules.
