This furniture is a playful exploration into the process of creation, intricate yet often taken for granted: drawing an idea and making it a tangible object.

Blue Pen chair is a suggestion for our most intuitive sketches to define the final design. This step is here exemplified in an unmistakable manner, as the silhouette of a chair has been engraved by hand, its lines floating in layers inside the transparent body.

The cavernous patterns and textures are the reaction of hot wax casted in an ice mould, to make the initial model. By lost wax technique, it is replaced by casting bronze. The piece of furniture stands on its structure of runners, which are the tubes that the metal was poured through at the foundry. The colour of the console is the original skin of the metal which was not altered since it was poured. The object shows a design that is closely in conversation with its production.

Every corner of the space tells a new story—from brutalist forms to glossy surrealism, and from playful assemblage to tactile craftsmanship.

This feature celebrates not only the launch of our exhibition, but also the growing appreciation for collectible design as part of everyday interiors.
