Changing Currents Perseverance Story.

Introducing the one and only @cchangingcurrents , a DJ and producer from Brighton with a deep love and passion for music.

Growing up in Brighton, CC developed a deeply spiritual connection to music. From an early age, he was drawn to the escapism found in sound, fascinated by its ability to create feeling, movement and connection, and to offer a way through life’s challenges without needing explanation. This instinct became the foundation of his creative identity, blending DJing, visual storytelling and world building into one evolving expression.

His journey has been shaped by years of questioning his own identity and purpose. That process, intertwined with music, instilled in him a commitment to constant evolution and a pride in embracing who he is at every stage of life. His name itself reflects that ethos: a constant current of change and movement.

Authenticity sits at the centre of everything he creates. Growing up, CC often felt he lacked a relatable role model, someone openly imperfect, still finding themselves and unafraid to live truthfully. Through both his music and his presence, he hopes to become the kind of person he once needed.

More than anything, he wants others to experience the same escapism he once found in music, a force that carried him through life and at times felt like his closest friend.

A quote he lives by:

“You have to hit rock bottom, that’s the way up. The struggle of coming back is beautiful. It doesn’t appear like it’s beautiful when you’re going thru it, but it’s just being tested... if you don’t quit it’ll be merciful to you.”
